As part of the magazines commitment to promote
the teaching and training of golf as a central mission at golf ranges and
short courses, Golf Range Magazine wanted to highlight those PGA and LPGA
teaching professionals who are
contributing at the highest level. Candidates were culled exclusively from
the golf industry niche of Golf Ranges (learning centers, domes
and indoor facilities) and Short Courses (9-hole, Par-3 and Executives)
Criteria included feedback from PGA sections, previous local, state &
national teaching awards; feedback from the magazines writers around
the U.S. and Canada, as well as input from the nomination process itself.
Founder & President Steve di Costanzo added, For the past 9 years weve been producing the Top 100 Golf Ranges in America. We wanted to produce a companion list that highlights and gives a national exposure to some very talented teachers who are helping to grow the game and make the game of golf more enjoyable and accessible. Although some from the list are well known on a national level, most are not. We wanted to dig deep into our golf niche to shine a light on our best and brightest instructors. The instructors who really are local heroes.
