In early 2005, Total Golf Adventures became a Preferred Partner of the GRAA and became the "Official At-School After School Golf Program".
Mission Statement: Total Golf Adventures’ mission is to create and develop a child's passion for the game of golf through an after school enrichment program that develops and improves their motor skills and hand-eye coordination, encourages their advancement, and builds their confidence and self-esteem.

Description: TGA’s National At-School After-School golf program is designed for students in Kindergarten through Eighth grade (K – 8th). Our enrichment program begins by teaching students the fundamentals of golf swing along with rules and etiquette of the game. After learning the basic principals of the game of golf in the beginning class, the intermediate class transitions the students to golf course preparation where they are instilled confidence to take their skills from the school to the golf course. Finally, we allow each program around the country to come up with their own advanced level class when your students begin passing the intermediate class. Over the course of these three different levels, the students are immersed in a fun, nurturing, and safe environment; your school. TGA creates an energetic, supervised atmosphere, conducive to the advancement of students’ life and golf skills.

TGA works with each individual school, after school program, or school district to create a custom enrichment program that is based on the number of weeks, days, and hours desired per session. The time allotted maximizes the golf curriculum to the fullest extent, enhancing your school’s and students’ after-school activities.

Teaching Methods: TGA teaches the students the fundamentals of the golf swing using highly effective education and teaching methods designed specifically for children that make golf concepts simple to understand, easy to retain and fun to learn. Students learn everything from how to properly address the ball to hitting full golf shots. TGA uses a new technologically advanced practice ball, designed to be incredibly safe and easier for juniors to hit. Due to this new type of technology, any play-field size, apparatus or location can be utilized.

Education Methods: TGA students learn the rules and etiquette of the game of golf through brochures created by the National Golf Foundation that make it easy for the students to comprehend.   The following week of class TGA quizzes the students on what they retained using an interactive golf hole that allows the students to put an image to the concepts they are learning. TGA believes learning rules and etiquette of the game of golf impact a student’s life because they are taught honesty, integrity and respect.

At the culmination of each session the students are divided into teams and they participate in a two-week skills competition to test the knowledge and skills they have acquired. Throughout the competition, TGA promotes and teaches teamwork while rewarding teams for demonstrating good sportsmanship. At the end of the competition students on all teams receive a medal and certificate of completion to solidify the philosophy that golf is about individual improvement and not about winning or losing.

Website: In addition to the on campus instruction, TGA’s website located at www.totalgolfadventures.com also contains a wealth of knowledge about the first National At-School After School golf program. Parents and students have the ability to expand their knowledge of the game of golf, interact with the TGA coaching staff, and get all the program and tournament updates for their child on the website.
